Anonymous Content has partnered with UK-based not-for-profit organization ADCAN for the creative organization’s fourth-annual competition for unsigned filmmakers and animators to create original films for one of six partner charities addressing issues such as the refugee crisis, gender equality, food waste, and the environment.
The free-to-enter competition invites unsigned filmmakers and animators from across the globe to create an original 60- or 30-second film inspired by a brief from one of ADCAN’s six partner charities (The Helen Bamber Foundation, The Fawcett Society, City Harvest, WERK for Peace, Grid Alternatives and The National Eating Disorders Association) to help promote their cause.
Winning and shortlisted filmmakers will be invited to attend workshops supported by us and the rest of the ADCAN partner companies and will be honored at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles on October 19, 2017.
Our Managing Director and ADCAN judge Eric Stern says, “Finding interesting opportunities for young filmmakers is one of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of fostering a directing career in advertising. The opportunity to create original content for the six charities involved in ADCAN, while also nurturing a young filmmaker’s career, is exciting and rare in today’s advertising climate.”
