Filmmakers Patricio Martinez and Francisco Canton of directing collective Pantera will World Premiere their new short NADA DE TODO ESTO (NONE OF THAT) In Competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
The 15-minute short, which Martinez and Canton also adapted from the short story by Samanta Schweblin, follows a mother as she drives with her daughter through the wealthy suburbs and accidentally drives her car into a mansion’s beautiful flower patch. The daughter needs to provide the solution, before her mother’s visceral fascination with the house and its owner drives them both to a point of no return.
Martinez and Canton’s first short film ‘Loose Fish’ was completed in 2020 and shown at TIFF, BFI London, and Camerimage Festival. They are currently developing two feature film projects and are editing a documentary film about Argentinian musician and actor Juana Molina.
